Thymosin Alpha-1

Also known as: Ta1, Zadaxin

Immune SupportGrey areaHalf-life: 2h

Overview

Thymosin Alpha-1 is a naturally occurring peptide produced by the thymus gland that plays a critical role in immune system regulation. It is approved in over 35 countries for the treatment of hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and various cancers, and has been used as an immune adjuvant for vaccines.

How it works

Enhances T-cell maturation and function, particularly Th1 helper cells and cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Increases natural killer cell activity, stimulates dendritic cell function, and promotes interferon-gamma production. Modulates the innate and adaptive immune response without causing excessive immune activation.

Primary uses

  • Immune system enhancement
  • Antiviral activity
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Vaccine adjuvant
  • Cancer support
  • Chronic infection management

What to expect

Based on reported user experiences and available research, here is a general timeline of effects:

  1. Days 1–14

    • T-cell maturation and immune activation begins immediately
    • NK cell activity is increasing from the first dose
    • Antiviral and anti-inflammatory signalling is engaging
  2. Days 14–42

    • Immune system enhancement is well established by week 3-4
    • Interferon-gamma production is measurably elevated
    • Systemic inflammation markers are typically reducing
  3. Days 42–999

    • Long-term immune resilience is well supported
    • Particularly valuable during high stress or illness periods
    • Approved in 35+ countries for immune support — well-established safety profile

Storage and preparation

Store lyophilised at 2-8°C refrigerated. Do not freeze. Once reconstituted, use within 24 hours. Very stable as lyophilised powder.

Reconstitute with sterile water for injection. Common: 1.6mg vial with 1ml sterile water gives 1.6mg/ml. Inject subcutaneously immediately or within a few hours of reconstitution.
