MOTS-c
Overview
MOTS-c is a mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded in the mitochondrial genome. It acts as a metabolic regulator and has demonstrated significant effects on exercise performance, insulin sensitivity, and longevity in research studies. Naturally declining levels with age may contribute to metabolic dysfunction.
How it works
Translocates to the nucleus in response to metabolic stress and regulates nuclear gene expression involved in glucose and lipid metabolism. Activates AMPK signalling, improves mitochondrial function, enhances fatty acid oxidation, and improves insulin sensitivity. Has also demonstrated anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing properties.

Days 1–14

Storage and preparation
Store lyophilised at -20°C. Once reconstituted, store at 4°C and use within 14 days. Protect from light and heat.
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. Common: 10mg vial with 2ml BAC water gives 5mg/ml. For 10mg dose, draw 2ml.
