Overview
LL-37 is an endogenous human antimicrobial peptide derived from cathelicidin. It is studied for broad antimicrobial, immune-modulating, wound-healing, and inflammatory signalling properties, but it is not an approved general-use medicine.
How it works
Disrupts microbial membranes and can neutralise endotoxins. Also modulates innate immune signalling, chemotaxis, angiogenesis, epithelial repair, and inflammatory cytokine responses. Its effects are context-dependent and may be pro- or anti-inflammatory depending on tissue environment.

Storage and preparation
