Hexarelin

Growth HormoneGrey areaHalf-life: 0.5h

Overview

Hexarelin is a synthetic growth hormone releasing peptide and ghrelin receptor agonist. It is commonly discussed in research settings as a potent GH secretagogue, but it has a higher tendency than some alternatives to affect prolactin and cortisol signalling.

How it works

Binds the growth hormone secretagogue receptor GHS-R1a, stimulating pituitary growth hormone release. It may also produce cardioprotective signalling in preclinical models and can influence ACTH, cortisol and prolactin depending on exposure.

Primary uses

  • Growth hormone stimulation
  • GH secretagogue research
  • Recovery research
  • Cardiac tissue research
  • IGF-1 signalling
