Follistatin 344
Also known as: FST-344
Overview
Follistatin 344 is a recombinant or synthetic form of follistatin commonly discussed in myostatin-inhibition and muscle-growth research. It is not an approved consumer therapy and has limited human safety data outside controlled research contexts.
How it works
Binds and neutralises members of the TGF-beta superfamily, including activin and myostatin. Myostatin inhibition can remove a brake on muscle growth, while activin binding can affect reproductive and metabolic signalling pathways.
Primary uses
- Myostatin inhibition research
- Muscle growth research
- Activin signalling
- TGF-beta pathway research
Storage and preparation
Store lyophilised material frozen, typically at -20°C or below. Protect from light and moisture. Reconstituted solution should be refrigerated and handled gently due to protein sensitivity.
Reconstitute with sterile water or bacteriostatic water according to supplier instructions. Add diluent slowly and avoid foaming, shaking, or vigorous agitation.
