DSIP

Overview
DSIP is a naturally occurring neuropeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood in 1974. It was originally identified for its ability to induce slow-wave (delta) sleep. Research has expanded to include effects on stress, pain, cortisol regulation, and general recovery.
How it works
Acts on multiple receptor systems in the brain including opioid, serotonergic, and adrenergic receptors. Promotes delta wave sleep by modulating neurotransmitter release in sleep-regulating brain regions. Reduces cortisol and ACTH release under stress conditions, and may modulate the HPA axis response to physical and psychological stressors.

What to expect

Days 1–7
- Delta wave sleep promotion begins from the first dose

Storage and preparation
Store lyophilised at -20°C. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 4°C and use within 14 days. Sensitive to degradation — handle with care.
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. Common: 5mg vial with 2.5ml BAC water gives 2000mcg/ml. For 200mcg dose, draw 0.1ml. Best administered 20-30 minutes before sleep.
