AOD-9604

Also known as: Advanced Obesity Drug 9604

Fat LossGrey areaHalf-life: 2h

Overview

AOD-9604 is a modified fragment of human growth hormone (hGH) spanning amino acids 176-191. It was specifically designed to retain the fat-burning properties of GH without the anabolic or diabetogenic effects. Has received FDA GRAS (Generally Recognised As Safe) status as a food additive.

How it works

Mimics the way natural growth hormone regulates fat metabolism. Stimulates lipolysis (breakdown of fat) and inhibits lipogenesis (fat production) without affecting insulin sensitivity or IGF-1 levels. Acts on beta-3 adrenergic receptors in adipose tissue to promote fat oxidation.

Primary uses

  • Fat loss and lipolysis
  • Metabolism enhancement
  • Cartilage repair
  • No effect on blood sugar

What to expect

Based on reported user experiences and available research, here is a general timeline of effects:

  1. Days 1–14

    • Lipolysis stimulation begins from the first dose
    • Best administered fasted in the morning for optimal fat oxidation
    • Some users notice appetite changes in the first week
  2. Days 14–56

    • Fat metabolism is measurably elevated by week 3-4
    • Localised fat reduction in stubborn areas is progressing
    • No IGF-1 or blood sugar impact — safer metabolic profile than full GH
  3. Days 56–999

    • Sustained fat loss benefits with consistent use
    • Cartilage repair benefits are accumulating alongside fat loss
    • Consider combining with a calorie deficit for compounded results

Storage and preparation

Store lyophilised at -20°C or 4°C away from light. Once reconstituted, store at 4°C and use within 14-28 days.

Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. Common: 5mg vial with 2ml BAC water gives 2500mcg/ml. For 300mcg dose, draw 0.12ml. Best administered fasted in the morning.
