Bone Health / PTH AnalogueGrey areaHalf-life: 1.7h

Overview

Abaloparatide is a synthetic analogue of parathyroid hormone-related peptide used medically for osteoporosis in selected patients at high fracture risk. It is a clinically approved peptide therapeutic, not a general wellness peptide.

How it works

Activates the PTH1 receptor, preferentially stimulating bone formation when exposure is intermittent. It increases osteoblast activity and bone mineral density while having a different receptor signalling profile from teriparatide.

Primary uses

  • Osteoporosis treatment context
  • Bone mineral density
  • Bone formation research
  • PTH1 receptor signalling
